In the rapid dynamic change happening in all technical and administrative areas, crises have become one of the challenges that face many organizations. When a crisis occurs, it becomes crucial in the journey of any institution and must be addressed effectively through a successful crisis management approach. With climate change having a global impact on environment, expectations are higher for many crises and natural disasters to come, requiring the ability to plan, predict and anticipate future disasters and projected risks. The need arises to prepare contingency plans and to train people on implementing them, hence risks and crises can be successfully and wisely managed.

In this regard, as part of the existing HBMSU “Professional Diploma: Certified Expert in Risks and Crisis Management and Control”, UNITAR has now joined the programme and is offering two modules, in addition to the ones offered in by HBMSU, producing a co-designed training activity with the overall aim to increase the awareness and understanding of participants on managing risks, crises, and disasters.

The training will be delivered online, in English.
