Impact Investment – Mobilizing Responsible Investment and Sustainable Technology

About this course

It is important for impact investors to develop their activities in the countries and sectors most in need to make a more significant contribution to investment additionality. In view of the emerging importance of impact investment, investment promotion institutions (IPIs), need to consider alternative forms of investment that can be attracted to their economies. This training is aimed to sensitize IPIs particularly representatives from investment promotion agencies (IPAs) about the importance of impact investing as an emerging investment category. The aim of the training is to assist participants to explore how and why it is important to understand the fundamentals of impact investing, as well as to introduce aspects of the broad-based, state-of-the-art methodology aimed to measure its impact keeping in mind a wider SDG compliance framework.
