This e-tutorial aims to build an understanding of the importance of States' Action Plans in the civil aviation sector. It shows how, by adopting the right "basket of measures" in the aviation sector, according to their own contexts, states can mitigate the Greenhouse Gas Emissions.
By establishing close cooperation among all stakeholders, it will help facilitate the selection, adoption and implementation of the most appropriate measures to reduce the CO2 emissions.
The tutorial has been developed by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Action Plans will support the improvement of efficiency and thereby contribute to the global environmental aspirational goals established by the ICAO Assembly.
