Many fatalities can be prevented with the help of first aid, including serious injuries, excessive bleeding, and even death.First aid training is a valuable, life-saving course. First aid helps prevent the situation from getting worse while waiting for full medical care. The five main aims of first aid are to:

  • Preserve life
  • Prevent the escalation of illness or injury
  • Promotes recovery
  • Provide pain relief
  • Protect the unconscious

Along with the above five objectives, first aid also provides reassurance to the patient and confidence in the first aider to respond appropriately. It’s a necessary and critical stage to prevent serious harm and is an indispensable skill to have. Organizations and company management must ensure that the workplace provides personnel and anyone else attending the workplace with access to appropriate first aid equipment. Management must also ensure that the workers have access to an adequate number of persons who have been trained to administer first aid.

The online course developed by UNIDO including tests provides an opportunity for proper training related to first aid. After finishing the test with a minimum score of 80%, participants will receive a certificate.
