As we implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, it is expected that all actors involved in the process understand the importance of effective collaboration. Achieving the objectives of this new agenda will clearly require multi-partner engagement, as the actions necessary are beyond the control of any one group of actors. While there are clear benefits from working with others to achieve results we cannot achieve alone, effective collaboration can be challenging.

This workshop aims at helping leaders and decision-makers working with the UN to recognize when collaboration is effective, understand some of the most common barriers to effective collaboration and be able to put in place practical measures to overcome them. It will consider what contributes to making collaboration effective, and suggest how organizations and individual managers can be effective collaborators.

Participants will be taught by leading experts such as UNASG Mr. Nikhil Seth, H.E the Ambassador of Azerbaijan Galib Israfilov, H.E the Ambassador of the University for Peace David Fernandez Puyana, UNITAR Director of Division for People Alex Mejia, Senior HR Director and Executive Coach of Lumina Learning Ms. Tania Hummel, and Emeritus Professor at the University of Suffolk Mike Saks.

The workshop will last for 4 half-days (09:30-12:30) from April 11th-April 14th, in Room XXV of the Palais des Nations.
